The issue of educational content development is a crucial one for the effective and successful implementation of ICTE in Sub-Saharan Africa. The current situation is marked by the absence of locally developed materials linked to the curriculum, the reliance on web-based materials from abroad and the inexistence of evaluation mechanisms. Developing new materials or digitizing existing ones is a process that requires planning, time, expertise and coordination.
