Educational Technology and Research International (e-TRI), at the request of General Direction for Information and Communication Technologies at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies in Benin, is working on the development of an e-Education portal for students and educators.

Last summer e-TRI was just an idea that could change the use of technology in the schools of  West Africa.  Today it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with offices in Washington, DC and  Cotonou, Benin advancing the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in  education in West Africa. 

I am proud of our accomplishments this past year; they have reinforced the need for e-TRI in  Africa.  We have developed a promising program that will influence the lives of students and  teachers, providing enhanced educational opportunities through the use of ICTE.

Our ICT Center in Cotonou opens in October 2008 - right in time for the Beninese school year!  We are actively raising funds for computers for the center.  Through regular access to technology and the internet provided by our ICT Center, students will enhance their learning opportunities.  To donate now, join our Facebook Cause and give online.  If you aren't a Facebook member, join or visit our website to donate.
